The Phoenix Group – Our mission

We are a group of UK business-leaders  with extensive experience and achievement across many sectors including construction & property, resources, logistics & transportation as well as mining, finance & investment and technology.

We are passionately committed to supporting Ukraine in its fight for independence and freedom, and channelling our experience and expertise, as well as our relationships and networks to the task of rebuilding Ukraine. . Within days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine we were directly involved in fundraising and delivering vital non-lethal aid to support Ukraine’s resistance to unprovoked and brutal Russian aggression.

Forming the charity Never Surrender UA. our founders have delivered more than £2 million worth of life-saving and life-protecting equipment to brigades and battalions across the entire front-line of this conflict.

The value of our contribution has been recognised by the Ukrainian military and Government through the award of medals and commendations, but equally important are the friendships and connections that we have made with the people of Ukraine. Through our work and support for their nation, we have been able to build an unprecedented network of trusted relationships and contacts within the military, business and across all levels of Government.

Our immediate priority is to sustain and extend the sourcing and procurement of vital non-lethal tactical equipment – ensuring the effective delivery of what’s most needed to where it’s most needed!

But our commitment to Ukraine is total, and our desire to support the nation extends beyond the present conflict. That’s why The Phoenix Group has set itself three longer-term strategic objectives:

  • To assist with the post-war stabilisation and reconstruction of Ukraine.
  • To connect UK and international businesses and investors to Ukrainian partners.
  • To build on established and trusted relationships within Ukraine to identify and realise mutually beneficial opportunities

Our vision is a Ukraine that can reimagine itself into an integral part of Europe, with renewed infrastructure, food and energy security and a thriving modern economy. A free, independent and prosperous nation.

The Opportunity  –  Why Now?

Ukraine is a nation with enormous and as yet unfulfilled potential. Already a globally important exporter of cereals and minerals, and with a burgeoning tech sector, Ukraine offers huge opportunities for growth in vitally important sectors including green energy and AI. The inevitable contraction of trade with Russia offers a unique springboard for Ukraine to  develop an economy configured around similar core assets and resources.

We have a shared responsibility to help the country, not only through the ongoing delivery of life-saving aid in the current conflict, but also through the vital stages of post-war stabilisation and reconstruction. Opportunities exist now to begin the process of preparation for post-war recovery. We’re working with partners in Ukraine to identify the vital logistics hubs and infrastructure that will be the Forward Operations Bases for reconstruction. We’re building the network of relationships with Government, businesses and on the ground legal and professional expertise to enable UK and international businesses to operate successfully and securely in what is likely to become Europe’s biggest new market opportunity.

Ukraine is preparing for reconstruction now. President Zelensky is driving through economic and anti-corruption reforms to prepare the country for the investment and reconstruction aid that has already been pledged.

We want to play our part in supporting the future flourishing of Ukraine by providing partners, investors and international businesses with the contacts, advice and intelligence they require to help the country to realise its full potential.
